BUT. On the way back to Colorado, we stopped at Fort Union to look around. In case you don't know what Fort Union is, here is a blurb from the website:
"Fort Union was established in 1851 as the guardian of the Santa Fe Trail. During its forty-year history, three different forts were constructed close together. The third Fort Union was the largest in the American Southwest, and functioned as a military garrison, territorial arsenal, and military supply depot for the southwest. The largest visible network of Santa Fe Trail ruts can be seen here."
Since my parents (especially my Daddy) are very into history, things like this are what they like to do with their free time. They are nerds. And I am their cling-on.
So anyway, here's some pics of me and my guardians at Fort Union. It was a beautiful day. There's a picture of me "doing it myssef" with my stroller, and digging in the dirt like good boys do. The middle picture Mommy LOVES LOVES LOVES. And the last two are of me and Mommy walking on the Santa Fe Trail. Please excuse Mommy's saggy butt jeans....we were traveling and she didn't feel the need to dress up.
